OVERVIEW

The Dunlop Winter Maxx 2 is a touring winter tire manufactured for passenger vehicles.

The model promotes great winter weather traction. The asymmetric tread design and winter compound work together to increase the cold temperatures dry and wet traction and road grip on ice- and snow-covered road surfaces. The compound performs excellently in colder temperatures, but it is not suited for summer weather. The asymmetric tread’s circumferential and lateral grooves disperse water and slush from below the tire’s footprint, which effectively resists hydroplaning. The enhanced winter traction and superb hydroplaning resistance ensure a safer winter weather performance, which earned the tire its three mountain peak and snowflake symbol and severe winter condition rating.

The tire’s internal structure features a reinforced polymer structure. This construction prevents the deformation of the tire’s structure under the driving pressure affecting it. As a result, the model is capable of withstanding the rough winter driving pressure affecting it during the drive, which improves its driving stability. The tread’s wide optimized footprint maintains a constant road contact. The better road contact boosts the steering response time and accuracy to the driver’s instructions. The tread design’s upgraded pressure distribution increases the cornering capability. It enlarges the tire’s contact area, heightening the number of biting edges, to guarantee a safer cornering and maneuvering capability. As a result, the tire is easily controlled in all winter weather, enabling the driver to confidently control the vehicle.

The Winter Maxx 2 provides a comfortable drive. The internal structure’s twin polyester casing enables the tire to closely follow the road surface. The close road contact successfully absorbs the shock of driving while the tires are in motion. In this manner, the tire reduces the road vibrations felt in the vehicle’s cabin during the drive, offering an enjoyable driving experience.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
