Hibiki 17 Year is a highly coveted award winning whisky which really showcases class and sophistication with this array of botanicals which is said to “enhance” the whisky with its distinctive flavor.  It is rich and complex with notes of toffee, malt, smoky char, nutty, spice, wood and a touch of dark fruit. The finish is long and fades with slight hint of toffee, malt, spice, smoke and wood.

History
Hibiki 17 Year & 17 Year Chrysanthemum & Crane Bundle are unique blends of aged malt and grain whiskies from Suntory’s three distilleries. Each blend of Hibiki represents the harmony of Japanese nature and craftsmanship. It is known as a NAS ( No Age Statement) release which was produced after a shortage of aged casks forced Suntory to make significant changes to their product line. Fans were skeptical at first but this concern was quickly settled when they took their first sip. Suntory is the oldest whisky making company in Japan. Its origins stretch back to a small shop, started in 1899 by Torii Shinjiro, which specialized in selling imported wines. Today, it is the country’s largest and most recognizable producer of quality whisky. Of all its products, the Hibiki remains the most popular, having been chosen as the best whisky in the world on several occasions. Suntory is now a world famous brand which is known for producing quality, technique, and sophistication.
